What emphasis do you place on healthy eating?
Healthy and nutritious food is offered here at Green Hedges. Our emphasis is on fresh produce and our cook, Elaine Phillips, prepares all meals with nutritious ingredients without the need for salt or additives.
We cater for all dietary needs including vegetarian and dairy free diets. Information on allergens is available on request.
Our menus are produced for Summer and Winter and the daily menu is on display daily outside the kitchen.
Mealtimes are set throughout the day as follows:
Breakfast – 7.45am to 8.45am
A selection of No Added Sugar Cereals
Rounds of Toast and Spreads
Served with Milk or Chilled Water
Morning Snack – 9.30am
Fresh fruit platter
Served with Milk or Chilled Water
Lunch – 11.45am
A Hot Homemade Dinner with Dietary Alternative
Fresh Fruit Platter/Sweet of the Day
Option of Yoghurts
Served with Chilled Water
Afternoon Snack – 2.30pm
Fresh fruit platter
Served with Milk or Chilled Water
Afternoon Tea – 3.45pm
Light Cooked Meals eg homemade soup or beans on toast
Or a variety of savoury sandwiches with a range of breads including
Wholemeal rolls, pitta or wraps
Sweet of the Day eg homemade banana cake
Option of Yoghurts
A Selection of Fresh Fruit
Served with Milk or Chilled Water
