More experiences, more outdoors, more trips and more of everything! Our Preschool unit boasts its own outdoor garden area with a tree to climb, rocks to climb, mud kitchen, digging area and log cabin full of equipment our ‘big children’ get to do big things!

We have a host of planned activities throughout the year to stimulate and excite the children. Highly qualified practitioners work extremely hard to provide a fun and interesting curriculum. Recent trips out have included beach days, bowling, local gardens walks, Stephen Joseph theatre drama trips, out for ice creams, dentist visit, York Railway Museum and our school leavers trip for the past two years was to Filey Bird and Animal centre.

Concentrated adult led focused groups are a top priority for the children as we specifically aim to develop new skills with a programme of Letters and Sounds, music groups term time and French group (in the Summer terms.)

 British values are embedded thoughout nursery and the children are supported to be independent thinkers and problem solvers with  their social and emotional wellbeing paramount.  Quality interactions and good role models support sustained shared thinking skills as the children’s increasing ability to take responsibility and to become independent learners.
